PhD. Karla Rubio
Responsible for the International Laboratory EPIGEN, CONCYTEP, coordinated as a tri-national axis (Mexico-Germany-France) focused on the study of pollution-associated diseases. PhD in Science from the Max Planck Institute for Heart and Lung Research (Prof. Barreto) in Bad Nauheim, and the Justus-Liebig University in Giessen, Germany. She studied for a Master's degree in Physiological Sciences and a Bachelor's degree in Biomedicine at the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (Prof. Vindola and Prof. Padrós). His research interests include epigenetic regulation mechanisms in pulmonary, neurodegenerative and environmental pollution-associated diseases. She has established in vitro, in vivo and ex vivo experimental models integrated to next generation sequencing techniques in pathological conditions (fibrosis, neurodegeneration, pneumonia, cancer). She has received awards from the von Behring-Röntgen Foundation, the Medizinische Gesellschaft Giessen, and the German Society of Pneumology and Respiratory Medicine. She is the author of several articles indexed in high profile journals, academic books and professor of postgraduate courses. She is a member of the National System of Researchers CONACYT.
Msc. Andrea Pérez González

During this period, she developed research projects in Food and Agropecuary Biotechnology. Also, she obtained a Research Scholarship Granted by Mexican Academy of Sciences in the XXII Scientific Research Summer (2013), carrying out her professional practices at the Biological Research Center of the Northwest S.C. (CIBNOR). He have had a rol as Technological Consultant in Biotechnology in research projects about Nanotechnology and Biomaterials in Collaboration with UPAEP and health sector companies (2014-2017). In addition, she has been the autor or coauthor of book chapters and scientific articles in indexed scientific journals. She got a Master in Science Degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Area by Meritorious Autonomous University of Puebla (Scholarship by CONACYT, 2018-2020) carrying out her practical work in Cellular Biology Laboratory in East Center Biomedical Research (CIBIOR-IMSS, 2018-2020) as Scholarship Research Holder IMSS Type I (2019-2020). Currently, she works as a Laboratory Technician at International Laboratory EPIGEN, CONCYTEP, Health University of Puebla State (USEP), Mexico, contributing to the development of the Research Line: Epigenetic related diseases to pollution.
Msc. Ivón Ramírez
Graduated with a degree in Biomedicine from the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla-BUAP (2012-2017). She obtained her master's degree in Chemical Sciences in the area of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at BUAP, doing her thesis as a CONACyT fellow (2018-2019) and IMSS Type I research fellow (2019-2020) at the Molecular Biology laboratory of the Centro de Investigación Biomédica de Oriente (CIBIOR-IMSS). She has contributed in the realization and publication of scientific articles in indexed journals, as well as diffusion articles. Additionally, she has been trained in the area of Data Analysis, completing a diploma in Research Design and Data Analysis by the College of Data Scientist-COCID (2021) and obtained a digital badge issued by BEDU-SANTANDER for having completed the Data Science program (2021). She is currently pursuing her PhD at the EPIGEN International Laboratory and as a CONACyT fellow in the Biotechnology program at the Universidad Popular Autónoma de Puebla-UPAEP. Her line of research is the study of epigenetic mechanisms of tumorigenesis induced by environmental toxicants.
